How
to reach the town?

by train. The
trains arrive directly into town: Railway Station Santa Lucia.
Direct rail links / connections with the national network: Milan (Chiasso-Switzerland,
Turin, France; Verona-Brennero-Austria, Genoa) Bologna (Florence,
Rome, Ancona-Bari); Udine (Treviso, Tarvisio - Austria); Trieste
(Villa Opicina - Slovenia). Frequent services with public transport
will connect you with any point of the city.

Venezia-Tessera, Marco Polo Airport (phone +39 041 2606111) National
and international arrivals and departures. Bus service to/from
Piazzale Roma (every 30 minutes) with the urban ACTV line/buses n.5
or with the extraurban ATVO buses/line in connection with the
scheduled flights. Motorboat connections to/from S.Marco by the
service ALILAGUNA. Regular land-taxi service to/from P.le Roma.

The most important Italian motorways converge on to Venice with: A4
Venezia-Milano (Verona, Brennero, Austria) A4 Venezia-Trieste
(Slovenia) A23 Venezia-Udine (Tarvisio, Austria). Visitors arriving
by car can park in the parking areas located at the Tronchetto
island, on the mainland (S.Giuliano and Fusina terminals or parking
in Mestre) or in Piazzale Roma.
Those arriving by bus can only park at the Tronchetto island.
